![]() ![]() Modern Finnish army with custom voiceover, campaign and missions. It has awesome campaign and lot of single missions to playįinnish Defense Forces (FDF) - Same as a CSLA 2. Put some cool mod into it (like FFUR) and play the campaign or some user created missions ("When the world ends" for example).ĬSLA 2 - contains Czechoslovak army from the years of the USSR + modern Czech army. It is renamed Operation Flashpoint, now tweaked to run on the newest OS and it contains the Resistance datadisc. Since it'll take me too long to try them all and pick out a favorite, I'll just post the private giveaway links for the NEXT weekly Humble Bundle here so that everyone who visits this thread can enter it ^.^ĮDIT 2: So far I've tried COD UO and will soon be trying the older Medal of Honor :P Anyway, here are the private giveaways.ĪrmA: Cold War Assault. My framerate even drops down to less than 10 on Half Life when I'm looking at smoke/fire.Īnd I suffer from FOV sickness, so an FOV slider would be nice :PĮDIT 1: Thanks for all the suggestions :D Please note that my graphics is especially bad at rendering particles. Half-Life (have all the HL games, but have only played the first one so far),Ĭounter-Strike series (except GO. Some low-end FPS that I have played (all on lowest graphics settings): Whoever recommends me the game that I like the most will get a private giveaway of the next Humble Bundle that he/she wants (non-BTA/BT6). Graphics: Intel G41 Express Chipset graphics. less than 2 bucks), I can also go for paid games.īut it can be a not-so-cheap game as long as it's singleplayer-only, because.well. It'd be nice if it was free-to-play, but if it's cheap (i.e. I'd prefer a game that has great singleplayer gameplay and story (I love story games), but I won't mind multiplayer. If it did, the 2-hud would scale with the 3D engine and keep the correct aspect ratio - the problems of running an old game on new hardware.Title says most of what I want. This is because the game doesn't properly support widescreen modes. Your crosshair however, which is part of the 2-d hud, is a sprite and will always be rendered in 4:3, so that is why that appers stretched (much like the compass, team overlay etc.). The result is a larger version of your original 4:3 screen but with the top and bottom slightly trimmed. As long as your fov is how you were used to in 4:3 then you shouldn't have an issue. I can't see it making a massive amount of difference but it will set everything 'true'. However, your aspect ratio cvar is set to 16:9 You are using a 16:10 resolution, and presumably your monitor is the same aspect ratio. One thing I can suggest though, is that your settings aren't keeping things truly native. The only thing that caught me out was the motion blur, but that died down as I got used to hwo the LCD performed in lieu of the CRT. I never noticed any change in my performance when I switched from a 4:3 CRT to a 16:10 LCD. some of you have beef with me but keep it out of the thread because i want this to be helpful to other players as well. If i play in 800圆00 with black bars on the sides i can aim much better but since it's lcd it's difficult to see because everything looks like shit in non-native resolution.įor those of you on widescreen, have you had a similar experience? are there any other tricks or settings i'm not aware of? The crosshair is always slightly stretched no matter what which doesn't help. Tried all sorts of fov in the range of 100-120 and tried using a widescreen fov calculator that converts 4:3 fov to 16:10 fov. I have tried pretty much everything i can think of with not much success. ![]() my aim is sufficient but not as good as it used to be. Ok basically ever since i switched to widescreen in rtcw several years ago my aim has gone down the tubes.
